Cat5e cable is used to connect the router to your modem, and another cat5 to hook computers to the router (if desired). Otherwise your laptop, phone, ipod, etc. will connect wirelessly.
Settings are accessed (including wifi password) by typing http://192.168.10.1 in an internet browser. The user name is "admin" and the password is "admin".
